Welcome
For six grueling weeks, Hawai'i students have used their ingenuity and intellect, as well as guidance from professional mentors, to build robots worthy of competition in the "varsity sport of the mind."
Teams representing 25 high schools on the Big Island, Kaua`i, Maui and O`ahu have spent their free time and worked late into the night to prepare for the Inaugural 2008 NASA / BAE Systems FIRST in Hawai`i Regional Robotics Competition. The event will feature these local teams and also 12 mainland teams in a fierce competition at the University of Hawai`i Stan Sheriff Center from March 27-29.
Hawai`i residents who are fascinated by science and engineering, who marvel at feats of human engineering, and who want to support our future generations of leaders, are encouraged to attend the competition, which is free to the public. View a schedule of events.
