Starting a FIRST team is an exciting, unique, and rewarding experience. It provides students, mentors, and coaches with an incredible opportunity to develop skills that will be beneficial throughout their lives.

Your team will utilize your collective engineering ingenuity, as well as teamwork and problem- solving skills, leadership experience, and creative marketing, to design, build, and showcase your creation.

Building is only half the fun. Your team will have the opportunity to interact with other teams, mentors, coaches, and volunteers at competitions, tournaments, expos, and off-season events. You will be part of the FIRST community, which is an extensive network of people from all around the world who are always willing to lend a hand.

FIRST was founded in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. Based in Manchester, NH, the 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.
